DABCAST - complete DAB+ solution

At DABCAST, we've developed the world's first solution that allows broadcasters to comprehensively create and manage DAB + services, offered in the original Radio-as-a-Service model. The use of the latest technologies in the field of electronics design and data processing in the cloud has allowed to achieve many features desired by clients, such as simplicity of operation, speed of implementation, security or low price compared to alternative solutions.

Multiplexing the streams in the cloud

Multiplexing is nothing more than combining signals from several sources, followed by appropriate shaping and forming of a ensambled stream (in accordance with DAB + standard). With DABCAST, all operations take place in the cloud. This guarantees security as well as high scalability.
Signals from the Virtual Studio or directly from the premises of Radio Broadcasters are transmitted to the DABCAST cloud, where they are being processed. Thanks to cooperation with the largest players on the cloud services market (Amazon, Microsoft, IBM or OVH), our Broadcasters receive a guarantee of reliability and that their signal will finally reach listeners without any problems.

Infrastructure as code

In the case of MUX development, we use the popular CI / CD (continuous integration / continuous delivery) approach as well as IaC (Infrastructure as Code). It's a way of managing infrastructure (IP networks, virtual machines etc.) using the same approach and methods that developers use to manage their source code. By using IaC, we provide our clients with efficient and effective DABCAST infrastructure.

Tools and administration

In order to ensure reliability and flexibility (in terms of development and maintenance), the MUX application uses different programming languages and different frameworks. The most important include: Modern C ++, Ruby, Python 3, Angular, TypeScript (JavaScript), .NET Core and others.
